Superheros!

This past week I had orders for two different Superheroes, and there were so much fun to make! So today I am (finally) going to show you how I made them

Microwave Cake & Hello Kitty Pops

This week I microwaved a cake for the first time ever! It was weird haha but it came out nice. I chose the microwave because cakes don't brown in there, and it keeps my White Cake Cake Pops looking white white white :)

This is after it sat in the fridge overnight - hence the plastic wrap

Nutty Bars

This week, for Andrew's brother's birthday, I made some Pops out of Nutty Bars!

"Classic crunchy wafer bars, full of the great taste of peanut butter enrobed in fudge"

They were a hit! Everyone loved them, and I even got a request to make more for his party this weekend :)

BabyCakes Cake Pop Maker...

So I know today is Tuesday, and usually that means I give away some delicious treats to two attentive fans but... this week that is not the case. I mean I planned on it, but the fates decided no free food this week :/ And it's all because of this cute little Cake Pop Maker

It looks simple enough, but quickly turned into a nightmare!

Just Monkeyin' Around

This week my big project was monkey cake pops for my boss's daughter to take to school :)

I think they came out cute (in the end) but these monkeys definitely gave me a hard time haha.

Busy Busy

It has been such a busy last couple of weeks for me... 2 jobs plus baking has gotten pretty overwhelming. I am definitely looking forward to going back down to one job :) So I apologize for the lack of posts, but it should get better.

I first want to say that Taste-Test Tuesday has been very successful. Thank you to all my fans who follow my Facebook and make it so much fun to see who will win every week. I feel really good about letting everyone try out my new experiments with me :)

Jupiter Pops

This week I am going to Florida for the launch of Phil's project: JUNO

It is going to investigate Jupiter, how it formed, and what it's made of

and to celebrate I made some Jupiter Cake Pops to take along. Tomorrow I have to deal with getting them through airport security, and making sure they don't melt or crack or break in transit... But hopefully it will all be ok :) Here they are:

Last night I made these Oreo Cookie Truffles, and I am so proud of them.

These are by far the best ones I have made yet!

Wow it has been a while (4 months?!) since I have posted... What can I say? I have been pretty swamped with school and work lately but I am definitely going to try to be more active on here :)

i think they came out pretty nice, but she told me to make plain round ones because she thought roses wouldn't be worth my time. i hope she likes them anyways...

welcome to the lolly's pops blog, where you can now find more pictures and behind the scenes details about how exactly i make my cake pops. come join me as i explore new ideas, and see for yourself just what exactly cake pops are, and how they are made. this will also be the place to find out what new creations i'm working on. this is also where i can express the more personal side behind making cake pops, which is not easily displayed in a simple facebook photo.
